"There is freedom waiting for you,
On the breezes of the sky,
And you ask, "What if I fall?"
Oh but my darling,
What if you fly?"
I'm all about lazy days around the house, sitting back and watching movies or reading a good book. Multiple cups of coffee get me going in the morning, followed by a long walk, spent outside in the fresh air and prairies.
My inspiration comes from nature and the gorgeous landscapes that make up this planet, and movie or game scores that gives me goosebumps, or make me cry.
When I'm feeling low, I like to snuggle up with all three of my fur babies and listen to worship music; because there is nothing better than spending time with God in those dark times.
Photography is my creative outlet, and I love seeing what I have been able to capture with the tools and abilities God has given me.
I am a strong believer in living in the moment, enjoying it without distractions, and absorbing it all so one never feels like they’ve missed it. Life is an adventure, and if we don’t give ourselves the opportunities to be present, treasured memories will slip away leaving us to wonder, “Where were we at the time it happened?”
I photograph those moments, so you don’t have to; so, you can enjoy spending time with those you love, and celebrating milestones you will never experience again. I photograph those moments so you have something to remind you of those amazing times once shared with those closest to you, and to show future generations of the life you lived.
There's nothing better than curling up on the couch, snuggled up with a soft blanket and a good cup of tea, watching the rain falling outside. The fragrance it brings is intoxicating. Everything becomes so vibrant in colour, and fresh from the precipitation.
I especially love full-out downpours, and lightning storms that fill the sky with intricate branches of electricity.
Adventures and exploring call my soul. There is something so amazing about being away from town, ignoring technology (except the vehicle used to get out there; we kinda need that!!), and just being present. I especially love getting lost on back roads in the middle of nowhere, and discovering places we've never been before.
I was born and raised in Kelowna, BC, with a family I would never give up for the world. Being separated from them is hard, but it makes the 9 1/2 hour drive to the Okanagan *that* much more worth it.
Though I don't get to be around my Mom, Dad, and younger Sister, and Brother, I have my own family here now. My husband, Callum, and I have been married since 2013, and have three fur babies to call our own. Two cats, Kisa and Haku, and a pup named Link!
Jesus is my Lord and Saviour, and has been since I was a little girl. There was a period of time, after moving to Alberta, where I let my faith slide a little bit. It's been in the past several months that I've come to realize how much I've needed God. Every day is such a challenge, and it feels so amazing to know that I have a loving, Heavenly Father who looks out for me, and has a plan for me.
